Students enjoy working together. They collaborate with one another, problem solve, and share their thoughts and ideas. Creating projects is a fun way to show what you know!

Read, read, and then read some more! Reading is a treasured and everyday experience in our classroom. Book reports are integrated into the curriculum so that students have the opportunity to read from a variety of genres. Presentation skills are enhanced as well when we share the great books we read!

Technology is incorporated into so much of what we do in class. Our Neos and Laptops are utilized daily to help enhance our word processing, math fact, research, presentation, and problem solving/communication skills.

Students enjoy writing more than ever thanks to the 'Being A Writer' program. This curriculum focuses on creating a strong community of writers. Students work together in partners and help one another through the writing process. Students enjoy publishing and sharing their finished products!

Parents are warmly welcomed into the classroom! Each Friday, time is set aside for parents to share a hobby, talent, career, or book with the students. We always look forward to this special time!

Field trips are a wonderful way to enhance what we are learning in the classroom. Open Lands, The Illinois Museum Express, The McCormick Ravines, and The Corn Maze are just some of the fun filled field trips students experience in fourth grade!

Our Earth Day Assembly was incredible! We opened with a recycle rap, showed a beautiful video featuring all our earth has to offer, recited poetry, performed skits, and taught all that you can do to be more earth friendly!
